Coding

Secure your unit by coding it, A ooded radio is of no value to the thief. The corte number is !o bo found in (he radio or car pass.

Tho coding of The unit is only poesibfc when the ignition is turned on.

If the unit is dafached from the operating voltage, for evample by remova! o( Iho unit ftheft} or detachment of the banery. it is electronicalfy sateguarded.

Onjy you can put the unit back into opera-tion by enterirtg the correct codę (soe 'Put-(ir>g the Unit back into Operatlon", page33).

Should the theft protection be dispensed wifh, e.g. by sale of the unrt, it must first be decoded {see "D&coding the Unit', papę 33).

In ordę r itiaf the altempt to pu t the unit i r>to operation by trfal and error be not tnade, waiting times tai<e effecł following unsuc-cessful decoding attempts, The number oi remaining decoding attempts is shown on Ihe display.

During the waitłng period, the radio must remain switcheri on.

The waiting time aftar the first two unsuc-cessful attempts is appraximately 10 se-conds, after wbich the waiting time inerea-ses to 10 rninutes following ihe third aitempf. Following (he ninth unsuccesstful atternpf, the warting time has reached to 64o minutes,

The unit wltl rock alier the fenth un-suc-cessful atiempt ("SAfPus shown on the di-spfay). A replacernentagainst inuoice by an authorized Opól dealer Is then neces-sary.

It is therefore rccotnmended to [et an authorized Opól dealer put the unit back into operation after the sixth unsuccessfu) aitempf.

Check Coding

The following funotion can be usedto oltecfc wheiher the unit is coded or not.

The LED O wllf blink if both the radio and the ignition areturned oft.

The coded unit indtoates "CODĘ' on the display for a shon period every time after it is turned on and provided the ignition is swilched on.

Coding the Unit

The thaft protection is ac(ivafed by coding

the unit.

*    Swiich on the ignition.

*    Turn Ihe radio oft.

■    Turn radio on whiie keeping the (AS] © kay depras6ed. The display shows ~CQDEⁿand after $ seconds appears.

*    Enter the first digft oł łhe codę number using the radio station key [1] © . Each depression of the key will raise the digfl on the display by one.

Depress the key as olten as necessary I roaeh the correct digil in the first posiłku of the display.

■    Enter the naxt three digrts of the cod© number using the radio station keys [2] and [41 O.

» Keep the [AS] key depressed until the confirmalion signal isgiven.

The radio subsequently goes out of dor-mant modę.
