How fast can
a car go?
Racecars are fast, but the cars that set land-speed records are even faster. In 1997, Andy Green set a world land-speed record ot 762 mph (1,227 kph) in a jet-powered car called Thrust SSC. It was able to travel morę than three times faster than a Formula 1 racecar.
