Breakdancing

Breakdancing is an athletic dancing style that began on the streets of New York City, U.S.A., in the 1970s.

Toprock

These moves are madę while

standing up, and showcase the breaker’s rhythm. Toprock may borrow from other dance styles, like hip-hop.

Downrock

Keeping Iow, these moves are madę on the floor. When a breaker moves her legs in a circle supported by her arms, she is doing a 6-step.

Powermoves

The breaker’s lower body spins above the head in moves such as the headspin—this one’s only for the professionals!

Freezes

A freeze is when a breaker suspends a move as though frozen in midair and usually signals the end of a routine.
