Prehistorie farmers constructed the stone circle of Stonehenge in Southern England around 5,000 years ago. It was an amazing feat of engineering, requiring carefui planning, advanced construction skills, and the labor of huge numbers of people. This teils us that the site had great meaning and importance for the people who built it.
