3 pterygoideus medialis on the right side, and/or
4 pterygoideus lateralis on the left side.
Sit with back straight and ’long’ neck. Place left palm on left tempie. above cheek bonę. Place bali of right thumb on right side of jaw, below cheek bonę.
1. Look to the left. With right hand, push jaw to the left so that stretch is felt in right side of jaw.
2. Look to the right. Try to move jaw to the right against pressure of right hand; hołd for 5 seconds.
3. Relax and look to the left. With right hand, push jaw to the left to limit-maybe a Iittle bit morę.
4. Repeat until you feel you can stretch no further and muscles feel tight. Hołd this finał stretch from 15 seconds to a minutę or morę.
1. Reverse grip; right palm on right tempie, left thumb along left side of jaw.
2. Look to the left and move jaw to the left to limit.
3. Resist that movement with left hand.

2. If you can’t open your mouth, stretch both sides.
3. If stretch is painful, consult a doctor.
4. If you wcar glasses, remove them before stretching, as their frames may be in the way.
Jaw should be able to move at least the width of Iittle finger to either side. Cheek moYcment in a mirror.
