The fourth principle of the flexible style: Objectiv...
Guiding with the objective criteria in assessing the finał contract. In the beginning, it is of a great importance to establish the criteria, the way of assessing the finał contract and the basis on which we consider the results of negotiation sufficient. Objective criteria should be: the market value of the goods, the costs associated with the suspension of the decision, the precedential Solutions in similar talks and businesses, mutually agreed assessments of experts in a given field, fair treatment of all parties without any emotional bias and preferences. One of the oldest and best ways to objectify the contract is the principle of common "sharing the pie" - one party divides a cake in any way it prefers, but the other one takes the part it wants. So both of them have influence on the finał result of the talks. This increases the chances of objectivity and helps to avoid quite unreliable relying on a sense of fairness, on subjective desires and unreasonable cravings.
