EYE CONTACT
Eyesare said to be the most important point ofvisual attention focus - duringa coiwersation the attention is focused on the for 43% of the time. The basie function of eye contact is coiweying relationship communicates. Looking at the other person is an expression of interest and, in the same time, manifestation of a positive or negative response for that interest. Moreover, looking in the eyes inereases attention paid to the interlocutor by decreasing the quantity of the other visual stimuli.
Eye expression is expressed not only by looking, but also by:
• pupil size change
• blinking frequency
• how wide the eyes are open
• the expression of the eyes (glare, gazę)
