Notrs: (i) The data uscd in this caamplc do not rcfer to the year of these tablcs.

(ii) Cumputation of HW hcight diffcrcnccs is donc by intcrpolation or cxlrapolation, using thc two values tabulaled for HW and the hcight of HW at the Standard Port. Similarly. LW height diffcrcnccs are computed from the data gi ven for LW. In tnost cases. this can be carried out by eye. Howcvcr. the use of a pocket cakulator may be preferrcd. Altcmatively. it may be carried out graphically. as shown be Iow Plot A (MHWS 2.5. differencc -1.2) and B (MHWN I 8. difference -0.8).

Draw a ltnc through A and B. Read off thc hcight diffcrcnccs for Secondary Port correspondtng to the corrected hcights at Standard Port of 1.8 and 2.2 - i.e. -0.8 and -1.0.

Similarly. plot the LW height diffcrences to get Secondary Port differences corresponding to the cotTected heights at Standard Port of 0.9 and 1.3 - i.e. -0.2 and -0.5.
