Removal instaliation

Installation

NOTĘ: Engine must l>e COLD wlien instaliing helt.

1.    Ensure timing marks aligned (1) & [2].

2.    Fit timing belt to crankshaft sprocket. Fit assembly to crankshaft [10].

3.    Fit crankshaft bolt (8). Coat threads and contact face with sealing compound (AMV 188 001 02 or similar).

4.    Lock crankshaft pulley/damper. Use tool No.3256. Tighten crankshaft bolt to 350 Nm (8). Use tool No.2079 and torque wrench. NOTĘ: If tool No.2079 not available: Tighten crankshaft bolt to 450 Nin [8J.

5.    Fit timing belt lower cover [7]. Tighten bolts to 10 Nm.

6.    Fit timing belt to remaining sprockets. Ensure belt is taut between sprockets.

7.    Ensure timing marks aligned (1) & [2],

8.    Apply clockwise torque of 25 Nm (NG engine) or 35 Nm (AAR engine) to hexagon of automatic tensioner unit (11 ]. Ensure torque wrench held in a vertical position.

9.    Tighten bolts to 20 Nm [4], (5) & (6).

10.    Tum crankshaft two turns clockwise. Ensure timing marks aligned [1] &. [2],

11.    Attach tension gauge to belt at^. Tool No.210. Check tension gauge reading. AAR: 13,0-13,5 units. NG: 14,0-14,5 units.

12.    If tension not as specified: Slacken bolts [4], [5] & (6). Adjust position of automatic tensioner unit. Tighten bolts to 20 Nm.

13.    Install components in reverse order of removal.
