Celtic Hearts Edging

I just LOVE to doodle with tatting, and the hearts were a surprise outcome while playing with colors.

Skills Required:

Split rings, 7.7. Chain; Knowledge of these techniques is assumed. While I am a shuttle tatter, a lot of my tatting is "finger tatting" just because a shuttle isn't easy to use for the celtic knots. Needle tatting may be much easier for some tatters.

Color 1 Split rings and ZZC 1 Color 2 ZZC 2 and outside chain Steps for the basie pattem:

Zig Zag Chains (12 -12 ) Over one split ring, under the next, etc.

Zig Zag Chains (12-12) Weave through the previ-ous row of ZZC

Outside Chain Row (6 - 6 + 6 - 6) etc...
