Christmas Books. Make stable-shaped books which.open to tell the Christmas story. For top infants or lówer junlors the child could choose to tell the story from the point of view oł one of the characters e.g. Ben. the boy shepherd; Dorcas, the innkeeper's daughter; Hassan. the King^Ts camelkeeper etc.

House Books. Make a book in a sirhple house shape. Title it 'My House'. Inside make each page a separate room in the house: 'This is the kitcheh.’ Draw and name all the things found in the kitchen This type of wprk makes an ideał introduction to 'key' phonics.
