Seed Stitch: (multiple of 2 sts + 1)
Row 1: KI, *pl, kl; rep from * to end.
Rep Row 1 for patt (knit the purl sts and purl the knit sts).
Buttonholes (worked over 5 sts of right-front band between folds): (RS) Work 2 sts in seed st, yo, k2tog, work 1 st in seed st. (WS) Work in seed st, working yo into patt.
NOTES
♦ Back and front lower edges are worked as separate pieces, to create side slits. The pieces are joined and worked in the round to the underarms, then divided for back and front.
♦ Folded cascades are worked on right front using short-row shaping, with a seed-stitch border at opening on both sections of front.

Yarn Louet Euroflax Sport Weight (100% wet-spun linen; 270 yd [248 m]/100 g): *47 terra cotta, 5 (5, 6, 7, 8) skeins.
Needle Size 4 (3.5 mm): 24" circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); needle holders; tapestry needle; 12 smali shank buttons. Gauge 26 sts and 32 rows = 4" in St st, washed and dried.
LOWER FRONT AND BACK (MAKE 2)
CO 105 (117, 131, 143, 157) sts. Work 5 rows in seed st (see Stitch Guide). Working first and last 3 sts of every row in seed st, beg working St st across center sts.
Work even until piece measures 4" from CO, ending with a WS row. Place all sts on holder for first piece; leave 2nd piece on needle.
