Tracę the design with a propelling pendl (with whlte leads if possible.) I Ond that it rubs out much easier than the white pendls.

The tails are done upwards from the points and do not quite touch the top part of the bow.

March 2009 Parchment Craft

Finally, a row of holes Is needed for the very outside edge for cutting away the excess parchment, leaving the neat "picofedge.

Inserting the ribbon Cut out all the slits and corners shapes in readiness for threadlng the ribbon. The "ribbon" is coloured parchment, cut very thin and threaded through, as I sald before, starting from underneath. There are eight pieces of parchment for the ribbons, four running horizontally and four running vertlcally, each one is turned under just half an Inch and stuck underneath Itself with a little piece of double-sided tape.

The Snowdrop Design

Emboss

Emboss very softly, flicking with large bali tool only, from the points of the petals as in the design. Try not to touch the next petal and always leave a little gap in between.

The inside of the bow at the bottom, is embossed on the top of the parchment lightly from the centre half way outwards. The front of the bow is done on the reverse softly from the outside edge inwards.

There is just one tum-over on the top flower just left of centre, where it has a tumover and the petal is therefore done on the top of the parchment "inside'the petal from the bottom upwards. The tops of the flowers are done from the top down with just a few flicks.

Emboss the stems very lightly. The top and the right hand side leaf are done on the top of the parchment from the tip down, and then it is done from the reverse from where the"crossover"of the leaf is. Again, no petals are touchlng each other, just a tiny gap is left unembossed.

The Greeting

Emboss the greeting until whlte, using a smali bali for the edges of the letters. I usually tracę my greetings in white Ink, but this tlme I have gone for the "soft and delicate" look.

After all the embossing Is done, erase all the pendl lines and neatcn up the edges with large bali tool (only if necessary.) Rubbing out does not spoił the embossing, so give it a hard rub.

Finishing

Stick the whole card down with double-sided tape stuck underneath the outside piece of ribbon onto the card - all the way round. This card will fit on an AS piece of card.
