Figs 9(a), (b), (c), & (d) Designing with hexagons
To design with hexagonal motifs
Hexagonal or six-sided motifs can be assembled in a varied and interesting number of ways.
Seven motifs form a smali flower shape, which can then be expanded
in concentric 'circles' to form a lar-ger arrangement (a), which makes an attractive table-cloth. Joined in rows, hexagons can form a rectan-gular arrangement (b), useful for runners or place mats. Other smali arrangements, such as (c) and (d), are useful for dress wear.
