Jabot Collar

Using Coats Chain Mercer Crochet No. 40, the collar measures 6.5 cm (2V£ in) in width; length is adjustable. Matching cuffs can be madę from the same pattern.

lst row (inner edging)

Start at A with a ring of (4ds, p) 3 times, 4ds; rw. Continue from the diagram for the length reąuired to the centre front. Work the fali of the jabot to a depth of 16 rings (or as reąuired), and work the second half of the row to match the first half. Tum, and discard the bali thread.

2nd row

Leave a space of approximately 1 cm (% in) on the shuttle thread, and work a tiny ring of 2ds, join to picot of first chain, 2ds. Leave a space as before; tiny ring of 2ds, join to same picot, 2ds. Work across the collar leaving similar spaces throughout, and working two tiny rings into each picot. Where the jabot begins, work only one tiny ring into the joining picot. Turn at the end of the row.
