Chain Reaction

Using Coats Chain Mercer Crochet No. 40, the edging measures 2 cm (% in) in width, and will ease to a curve.

This design is worked entirely in chains, one advantage being that the shuttle seldom needs refilling. See KNOW-HOW 3 (p. 15) for starting with a chain.

Start at A with a false picot and continue in chains from the diagram. Ali joins are madę with the shuttle thread. Reverse work after every join except after chains D and F.
