Flower Fragments

Using Coats Chain Mercer Crochet No. 60, the left-hand fragment measures 38 mm (1V2 in) in length; the right-hand fragment measures 3 cm (VA in). Using No. 20, the left-hand fragment measures 5.5 cm (2V4 in) in length; the right-hand fragment measures 5 cm (2 in).

Right-hand fragment

Start at A with a ring of (3ds, p) 7 times, 3ds; rw.

Chain B of 3ds, p, (6ds, p) twice, 3ds, join shuttle thread to next picot of ring, and continue from the diagram. Ali chain-to-ring joins are madę with the shuttle thread. Chains K, L and M are similar to chain J. To join chain M to chain G, use the rosette join shown in KNOW-HOW 14 (p. 70).

Chain of 7ds, p, 4ds, p, 3ds, join shuttle thread to next picot of ring, and continue from the diagram. Ali chain-to-ring joins are madę with the shuttle thread. Work a long picot on ring H in order to make a twisted bar (see KNOW-HOW 10, p. 43). This is shown as a straight linę on the diagram.
