Create the coil.
Measure off the correct lenglli and twist-lifi the łasi ring on hoih ends of the coil.
Assemble iwo Chain segments. !-'/«Inch (3 cm) and 2-y* inches (7 cm) long. palr-mg the rings iwo by iwo. See pagr 31 for how lo |oin rings.
Altach the clasp to one end. Slidt* the sil-ver lube onto the Chain.

Makr the coil.
Lift lite outermost circles and twist litem pcrpendlcular lo the coli. centered over it.
Assemble the Chain by joining the rings one on one. Sec pagr 31 for how io join rings. Altach it to one end of the coil. The clasp is attachcd to the free end of the chain and catches directly onto the coil.

Thread the slcnder coli onto ihe heavier w irc and wind the heavy wlre around the mandrcl. as shown.
W ind the heavy w irc around the mandrcl uniil you reach the point where you wam the slendcr coil to start Push the coil up lo the mandrcl. Help the thin coil and ihe hcavy wlre around the mandrcl for the first couple of lurns. W hen ihe slendcr spiral is used up. continue turning w Uh only ihe heavicr wire. If the slendcr coil segment is to be shaped onto the heavicr coil. do so whilc the heavv coil is still on the mandrcl.
