Commercial growth in the 21 st cen tury will depend on increased Communications and exchange technologies. A series of global merchandise markets capable of housing these developing technologies are essential to the establishment of a functional world trade ethic.
The project is a prototype that accommodatcs a flexible, multi-level arrangement of expandable trade pavilions for the primary program spaces between two spherical shells.
A 500-room hotel, restaurants, and a multi-purpose stadium and performing arts hall are also included in the design.
The use of vision glazing across the interior and exterior shells allows transformative images of reflective architectonic purity by day while permitting fuli exprcssion of the supporting superstructure by night. Additionally, a central Computer will operate both shells as a spherical telescreen monitor capable of mapping world events.
