14-12 FRONT AND REAR BRAKES

•    Removethe diaphragm.

•    Remove the dust seal boot ®.

•    Remove the snap ring @ with snap ring pliers.

•    Remove the washer ®, piston @ and spring ®.

REAR MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL AND DISASSEMBLY

•    Drain brake fluid. (CT14-4)

•    Place a rag under the hose to catch spilled brake fluid.

•    Remove the brake hose union bolt.

•    Remove the master cylinder mounting bolts.

Remove the master cylinder cap.

Remove the diaphragm.

Remove the dust seal boot ®.    ..    , ,    , ,

MASTER CYLINDER INSPECTION

•    Inspect the cylinder borę and piston for scuffing.

•    Inspect the piston rod and spring for damage.
