6 a 3.06 Ask Ss to look at the words in the box and listen and repeat the pronunciation. If you wish, ask them to mark the stress with an underline. Check that Ss are elear on how the adjectives differ by writing two sentences on the board:

The film was boring, I was bored (by the film).

Explain that the -ing adjective causes the feeling and that the -ed adjective is a result. Ss then read the sentences and choose the correct form of the adjective provided.
