The Grid Work Design Use half a sheet of A4 parchment and stick down onto your grid of choice. Following the plan, do the bobbles first, if possible on a rubber or leather
✓ Regular parchment ^ Coioured parchment
✓ Propelling pencil with white leads
✓ PCA boki or fine straighc grid
✓ Smali bali embossing tool
✓ Large bali embossing iool
✓ Bcld single needle tooi
✓ Leather or rubber embossing mat i ✓ Large foam mat
j ✓Oarkcard for insert I ✓ Double sided tape j ✓ Parchment scissors or snips
embossing mat with a smali bali tool. Then turn over the grid and parchment together and perforate all of the holes with a bold single needle tool lnto a foam mat.
Work the outside row of bobbles first on two sides in an L-shape and then do the comer bobbles; then tum over and do bobbles in a four by two pattem, and then miss a four by two space for the holes following the sample un-cut pattem as you go. You need to changę the mat undemeath as you do this too (rubber or leather mat for the embossing and the foam mat for prkking.) Carry on with the patiem to the next corner. You will need an even number of slits (when cut out) for the ribbon, which is started undemeath and must finish undemeath obviously. The outside edge of slits of four by two holes, are two morę than the inside linę of slits as you can see. There are 32 slits on the outside linę. induding the L-shaped corners. and 30 on the inside I linę induding the four by four square of I holes on the inside comers. After doing I the outside linę of holes and bobbles all the way round. you need a complete I row of bobbles. and then another row I of slits and bobbles all the way around. I The two rows of holes are parallel as you can see from the sample uncut gridwork. You just need to keep counting!
No chatting over a cup of tea with a friend. you ll get distracted very easily • I bobbles can easily be madę into holes I if done by mistake. but it is not as easy I the other way around!
Finally, there s a row of bobbles on the I inside of the whołe pattem to głve it a I neat box shapc for the centre design.
I used a thin linę peel-off to border the I shape.
