“Out at..means bring the needle from the back of the work through to the front. A
“In at...” means take the needle from the right side of the work through to the back.
On many sections of this design some holes are used morę than once.
Frog 1 Chest
Out at A in at B Out at C in at D Out at E in at F Continue this seąuence to out at G in at H.
Mouth
Front stitch the mouth from I to J using the illustration as a guide.
Body
Out at K in at L Out at M in at N Out at O in at P Continue this seąuence until the body is complete. Ali holes are used twice.
Eyes
Back stitch around each eye socket and stitch a bead in the centre.
Leg 1
Backstitch from Q to R Then begin seąuence Out at S in at T Out at U in at V Out at R in at W Continue this seąuence around the leg to out at X in at Y.

Lily pad
Leg 2
Leg 2 is a mirror image of leg 1.
Back feet
Front stitch from S to 1 Front stitch from 2 to 3 Front stitch from 4 to 5 Front stitch from 6 to 7 The other back foot is a mirror image of this one.
Front feet
Backstitch the front feet using the illustration as a guide.
Frog2
Work frog 2 in a similar way to frog 1 apart from leg 3.
Leg 3
Backstitch from a to b Front stitch from c to d Then out at g in at h Out at i in at g Out at j in at k Out at 1 in at j Out at m in at j Out at n in at j
Start a new seąuence with
Out at g in at o Out at p in at h Out at i in at q Continue this seąuen to out at r in at s.
Leg 4
Work leg 4 as leg 2. Lily pad
Front stitch the outlii of the lily pad from / W.
