“Out at...” means bring the needle from the back of the work through to the front.
“In at...” means take the needle from the right side of the work through to the back.

The skirt is worked in four sections starting Out at 1 in at 2 Out at 3 in at 4 Out at 5 in at 6 Out at 7 in at 8 Continue to points X - Y then complete the opposite side in the same way. Then return to the first side starting
Out at A in at B Out at C in at D Out at E in at F Continue to points U - V then complete the opposite side in the same way.

Sections 1 and 3 are worked first then section 2.
Section 1 Out at 1 in at 2 Out at 3 in at 4 Out at 5 in at 6 Continue until complete.
Section 3 Out at A in at B Out at C in at D Out at E in at F Continue until complete.
Section 2 Out at N in at O Out at P in at Q Out at R in at S Continue seąuence to out at T in at U. Repeat for other wing.

This is worked in the same way starting and finishing in the holes either side of the top of the skirt. Out at J in at K Out at L in at M Out at N in at O
Continue in this sequence until the head is complete.
Halo
