Pass a piece of Steel wire approximately 30 eto long thrcugh the bead of maatic on one of the two vertlcal sides.
IMPORTAUT: Before fitting the priclcing
tool and the pulling handle, see section 50 "General - Tooling".
Cut the mastio bead.
NOTĘ: The screen raay be removed uaing the FEIN electric knife fitted with blade 079 (see section "General-Tooling") - (see MR 500** section 10 page 1).
Sharpen the blade by operating the machinę on setting 2.
Start to out by lnserting the blade in the bead of adhesive on one of the yertical sides {machinę running on setting 2).
Cut in the clockwise direction and yary the strength of the machinę as required.
NOTĘ: It is very important for the blade to be sharp. It should be sharpened each time it is used.
CLEANING THE PRAME
(Jsing a spatula between 20 and 25 mm wide, sharpened to a cutting edge, cut and smooth the mastio bead so that a thickness of between 0.5 and 1 mm is left on the frame.
NOTĘ: It is essential to leave a thin
layer of mastio on the frame sińce it will be U3ed as a backing for the new bead.
Remove the pieces of mastio and any dust from the frame using a compressed air gun.
HOTE: Only use dry air with no tracę of oil in it.
In generał, no eleaning or degreasing agents should be applied to the film of mastio on the aeal.
PREPARING THE NEW SCREEN
Carefully clean the enamelled surface around the edge of the screen.
1. If possible use demineralised water, then wlpe with a clean, dry oloth
2. or use a degreasing agent on the special cloth supplied in the kit.
Apply the glass primer ln a band approximately 20 mm wide around the edge of the screen.
