I THOUGHT l’d send you this Picture of the sachets I madę with your free gift from issue 232. At f irst I found it quite hard stitching on to gingham but after a while my eyes got used to it and I found it quite therapeutic. I even ended up buying another length of ribbon so that I could hang them down the back of our door. My mum said they look like they’ve come from a shop - obviously I had to correct her and say ‘I madę them!’ Lisa Ackerill, Northampton

Fd nevcr madę a padded heart or sachct beforc but I’ve seen so many in the shops lately that it really inspired me to make sonie from your Christmas feature in issue 232 (above). I don’t have a sewing machinę so I just did them all by hand, which was actually really enjoyable. I even bought ribbons and little red buttons to embellish them with. Katie Thomas, Barnsley

IWANTED to share with you the Advent calendar I madę for a friend's daughter based on the design featured in issue 230. Rather than making pockets, I madę little bags instead so that each could hołd a big chocolate or sweet - a vital requirement for your average six-year-old! I thought they looked like Christmas tree ornaments, so I created a background in the shape of a tree to hang them on. I think it looks fab! Ruth Statter, Banbury
