~T. tnsure timing mark angned [bj.
2. Fit timing belt to crankshaft sprocket and auxiliary shaft sprocket.
NOTĘ: If leusing old belt: OI>seive diiection of lotation maiks on belt.
3. Install:
o Timing belt lower cover [9]. o Crankshaft pulley [3]. o Crankshaft pulley bolts [7].
4. Lightly tighten crankshaft pulley bolts [7].
5. Ensure timing mark on crankshaft pulley aligned [6].
6. Fit timing belt to tensioner pulley and camshaft sprocket.
7. Slacken tensioner bolt [10].
3. Fit two-pin wrench [13], Tool No.Matra V.159.
NOTĘ: Two-pin wiench iocates in hole [1G] and against Ing [17J. When tuming two-pin wiench clockwise. the tensionei pulley will turn anti-clockwise and apply tension to belt.
9. Tum two-pin wrench clockwise [15] until piston [14] [A] is fully extended and piston [14] [B] has risen approximately 1 mm.
10. Lightly tighten tensioner bolt [10].
11. Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise.
12. Ensure timing marks aligned [5] & [6].
13. Check alignment of tensioner lever [14] [C] in relation to upper edge of piston [14] [B] as follows:
o [14] [D] - adjustment correct, o [14] [E] - wear area, re-adjust.
° I14) IN • check tensioner and re-adjust.
14. When adjustment correct, dimension [14] [G] will be 25-29 mm.
15. If alignment incorrect or dimension [14] [G] not as specified: Repeat tensioning procedurę.
NOTĘ: After instaliation, conect adjustment is maintained pioviding upper edge of piston [14] [B] is positioned within areas [14] [D] and [14] [EJ.
16. Tighten tensioner bolt to 25 Nm [10].
17. Tighten crankshaft pulley bolts [7]. Tightening torque:
o Class 8.8 = 10 Nm +90° Use new bolts. o Class 10.9 = 40 Nm.
(A4 - 45 Nm) (A5 - 50 Nm)
