Scourers and scrubbers
Some ready to hand green scouring powders are baking soda or dry table salt. These are mild abrasives and can be used as an altemative to chlorine scouring powders. Simply put either baking soda or salt on a sponge or the surface, scour and rinse. For another inexpensive scouring powder. combine two tablespoons each of vinegar and baking soda. Here is a recipe for a non-abrasive scrubber.
Soft scrubber. non-abrasive
30g/1/4 cup borax vegetable-oil based liquid soap 1/2 teaspoon lemon oil
In a bowl, mix the borax with enough soap to form a creamy pastę. Add lemon oil and blend well. Scoop a smali amount of the mixture onto a sponge, wash the surface. then rinse well.
Dryer sheets no. 1
1/2 part lavender essential oil
1/2 part benzoin essential oil (absolute resin)
smali dropper bottle
1 scrap of cotton cloth (about 4 inches square)
Make base essential oil by mixing the two oils in equal amounts into a smali dropper bottle. Shake well. Label. Put 4-5 drops onto the cloth and place in the dryer.
Dryer sheets no. 2
Take 10-15 4-inch square cloths and put 4-5 drops of essential oil base on each one. Put into an airtight Container that you can easily get your hand into to take one out at a time as needed for the dryer.
Use as you would a normal dryer sheet. The airtight Container will help hołd the scent in the dryer sheets instead of just dissipating out into the room and leaving the dryer sheet less scented.
