Make a... pincushion

Step 1

WE’VE used the f lower at the top right of the main design. We’ve left off the backstitch for a softer look. Trim your finished design to a 12cm square. Cut a piece of polka dot fabric to the same size.

Step 2

WITH right sides together, pin and sew your two pieces, sandwiching ric rac between the layers if you like. Be surę to leave an opening for turning. Turn right side out and fili firmly with stuffing.

Step 3

SLIP stitch the opening closed. Create an indent in the middle of your pincushion by stitching several times back and forth through the centre. Finish with a co-ordinating glass bead.
