2. Coil wire removed from coil.
3. Connect ohmmeter as illustrated.
Refer to "Ignition coil resistance".
Ignition coil primary winding O.K.
Check/ignition switch and wiring from ignition switch to coii and IC unit.

Faulty ignition coil — replace.
Battery (On vehicle)

1. Connect voltmeter as illustrated and set to appropriate scalę.
2. Puli out coil wire from distributor cap and ground it.
3. Tum key to "START” position and obserye yoltmeter while engine is cranking.
0.5 yolts or less
Morę than 0.5 volts
Replace IC ignition unit assembly.
Check distributor ground, wiring from chassis ground to battery including battery cable connections.
