SIZE : Triangle (AJ : Base, 27”; cach side, ca. 18”; depth at center, ca. 12”. Rectangle (B) : ca. 11 x 15 3/4 inches. Each motif » 2 1/4” square; if you do not obtain this mcasurcment, use smaller or larger hook.

MA TERIALS: Use one of the follow-ing cotton threads : J. and P. Coats ^wKnit-Cro-Sheen,” 175-vd balls : For

A,    4 in eeru and 1 in blue; for B. 4 1/3 in eeru and 3/4 in blue. Or DMC Brilliant no. 5, 218-yd balls : for A. 2 1/2 in eeru and 3/4 in blue; for

B.    2 3/4 in eeru and 1/2 in blue. If you prefer wool, use fingering weight yarn : for A. 4 1/4 oz eeru and 1 oz blue; for B. 4 1/2 oz eeru and 3/4 oz blue. For all 3 yarns use Steel cro-chct hook US sizc 1. Two same-size pillows covered with coordinated fabric. Scwing needle.

NOTĘ : Complete 72 motifs for A (60 eeru. 12 blue) and 70 motifs for B (65 eeru, 5 blue).

TO MAKE-MOTIF:Starlingat center, form Ip with end of thread. Rnd I : In Ip work 12 hdc (2 ch count as first hdc throughout); close this and next 2 rnds with sl sl in top of ch-2. Puli end thread of lp tight to close opening. Rnds 2-5: Cont as per diagram, work-ing hdc in back strand of sts of prev rnds to form ribs. In rnd 4, three ch count as first dc. In md 5. ch 1 then work first sc. On rnd 5, join motifs to each other with sl st as shown in diagram, assembling them as per Motif Arrangement diagrams A and B. and leaving one side open.

F7N/SHING : Aft er all motifs are joined. insert pillow form in coverand sew open side elosed. For A, make three lassels following diagram and attach one to each comer of the triangle.
