• Do not bend or twist the timing belt.
• After removing the timing belt, do not rotate the crankshaft or the camshaft separately, or the valves will hit the pistons.
• Make surę no oil, water or dust deposits adhere to the timing belt, the pulleys and the tensioner.
• Before installing the timing belt, be surę No. 1 cylinder is at T.D.C. on its compression stroke.
• Position the timing belt in the correct direction.
• Adjust belt tension with all the spark plugs removed.
