Cat Litter

Baking soda in the iitterbox will help prevent odours.

Cleaning fish łanks

Rub the inside of fish tanks with salt to remove hard water deposits, then rinse well before retuming the fish to the tank. Use only plain. not iodized. salt.

Flea Spray

Slice up two lemons and pour nearly boiling water over them. then soak overnight. Strain the liquid and pour into a spray bottle. Spritz the dog liberally and then massage the solution into their coats. Citrus oil kills and repels fleas and it makes your dog smell great too. You can also spray their bedding.

Cats hate to be sprayed. and find citrus offensive, so for felines. make a solution of 30ml/1 oz pennyroyal oil (also found at health food Stores) with 500ml/18 oz of water. Sponge this solution onto your cat and massage it into the coat. You can also spray dogs with this solution. they don't mind.

WARNING: Be surę to dilute pennyroyal it can be toxic to pets if used alone. Skin that is irritated from scratching and flea bites can be soothed by applying aloe vera, natures miracle healer.

Invigorating goldfish

Occasionally add one teaspoon of salt to 1.2ltrs/2 pints of fresh water at room temperaturę and put your goldfish in for about 15 minutes. Then return them to their tank. The salt swim makes them healthier.

Pet baths

Bathe pets with gentle herbal shampoos. Pesticide shampoos are overkill, sińce simple soap and water will kill fleas if the soap is left on for about 5-8 minutes.
