“Out at...” mcans bring the needlc from the back of the work through to the front. “In at ..mcans takc the needle from the right side of the work through to the back. On many sections of this design some holes are used morę than once.

Start a new seąuence with out at g in at h Out at i in at j Out at k in at 1 Continue this sequence across the dress to out at m in at b.

Start a new sequence with out at m in at n Out at o in at m Out at p in at q Out at r in at p Continue this sequence across the dress for six morę V shapes.

Work the outline of the dress in backstitch front s to t and from u to v.

Body

Work the arms. top and iegs using the illustration as a guide. Most of this will be accomplishcd using backstitch.

Boy

Work the boy using the illustration as a guide. Most of this will be accomplishcd using backstitch.

Boat, horizon and sea Work the boat, horizon and sca edge using the illustration as a guide.
