Introduction
i he first time I saw a doughcraft model was in an art and craft shop. I couldn't believe that flour, J salt and water could create such wonderful things.
I didn't think I could ever make a dough model good enough to hang on a wali. I later found a book on salt dough and started experimenting. When I madę my first model I thought that I would not want to show it to anyone, but by the time I •inished painting and varnishing it, I couldn’t wait to show it off to my family.
Working with dough is therapeutic and relaxing. As you progress from simple dough models and move on to morę complex projects you will become hooked. I hope that the projects in this book will spur you on to experiment with salt dough, so you create your own unique style. I would thoroughly recommend doughcraft to anyone wishing to surprise themselves with a talent they never thought they possessed.
Good luck with all your projects, and remember, practice makes perfect - so persevere and you will be rewarded.
