The Data Updating Wizard is automatically displayed when you start any ADP appiication unless you check the ‘Don't automatically display the update wizard from ADLL and ADRS6’ box.

Choosing an Update Path for ADP Data

You first have to choose whether you wish to get new update data from the UKHO (via direct Internet update, via an email or by manually downloading files from the UKHO website) or apply data you have already received (via an Update CD, an email or files downloaded from the UKHO website).

Click on the option required and choose ‘Nexf to continue Choosing an Update Data Method

The data contained in the Areas can be updated in several ways:

•    Update automatically over the Internet

•    Request an update via email

•    Connect to the UKHO website to manually download update files

The drfferent mechanisms update your data with the same Information and result in identical datasets once completed. Therefore aii methods can be used to correctty and fully update your Area data.

Select the method that you wish to use and press the ‘Nexf button.

You can choose to update your data week by week, all methods are interchangeabie and the program will understand how to apply any of the updates.

Updating Automatically over the Internet

Selecting the 'Update automatically from the Internet' option and selecting Next' will present you with a screen where you can choose which Areas you wish to update by checking the appropriate box.

When you want the transfer to start, click the *Next' button and the ADP application will connect to the UK Hydrographic Office Computer systems and download the Information reguired.
