The UKHO response will incłude update information for each of your requested charts.
The "Download” boxes can be ticked or un-ticked by clicking on them to confirm or decline the option to download each chart update.
Your “ARCS Online Updates” will be stored on the hard disk of your Computer and are automatically updated when you download new information.
Notę: This information is cumulative and when bumed to CD, can be used to update your ARCS display system in the same way as a UKHO published Update CD.
It is important that, once the CD has been written, it should be used to update your ARCS display system. This will ensure that the Online Update application and your ARCS display system are synchronised with the latest updates.
Notę: It is important, when you receive your UKHO published ARCS Update CD, that this is used to synchronlse your Online Update software. See section “Synchronise with the Latest Update CD". The standard CD will contain all chart updates (and your Online Update CD will onły contain voyage specific ones).

Admiralty e-Navigator Planning Station is a software application designed to be used by the navigating team onboard vessel. The application comprises of three key functions:
• A Holdings Management system which the mariner, to track the status of all shipboard Admiralty charts and publications (paper and digital) in one place. This means you are abie to quickly determine the status of your charts and publications, identify those that require action and update/renew accordingly. The Holdings Management system also integrates with paper chart updating services supplied by our partners to offer complete management of paper charts and publications.
• An Admiralty catalogue which allows you to identify and purchase the best mix of charts and publications needed to navigate a plotted route safely, compliantiy and cost effectively (integration between the holdings management system and the catalogue means that you only purchase the charts and publications you do not hołd). Permits and data for digital charts are received onboard the vessel almost instantaneously allowing you to purchase the charts at the point you need them.
• A chart and layer viewer which enabtes viewing of subscribed datasets such as digital charts, the Admiralty Information Overlay (AIO), Admiralty Total Tide and other Non-Admiralty products.
The Planning Station communicates with the Admiralty Data Server via an internet connection and email, this can be a permanent connection (broadband) or a request connection (email).
Orders submitted from the Planning Station will be automatically directed (based on user settings controlled by the Agent) to one or morę of the following groups for approval and/or fulfilment: shipping company, Agent and UKHO.
Once approved permits and data are returned to the vessel, shipping company and Agent (dependent on user settings) instantly using your preferred Communications method and applying user-defined restrictions e.g. email size.
Requests for updates to digital charts, publications and the catalogue are handied in the same manner but do not require approval.

It is important to keep the catalogues in Planning Station up-to-date. Your vessel’s holdings are compared against the catalogue and you can see the update status of the products you hołd against the catalogue.
