Stiffening Solutions
For strongest results we recommend the use of a commercial lace stiffener or fab-ric draping liquid. There are many different brands available today. Check your local craft shop to see what is available in your area.
You may wish to use the traditional sugar solution. Pour 1 part boiling water over 1 part white granulated sugar in a smali pan. Return to heat and bring to a fast boil stirring constantly until all sugar is dissolved. Mixture must be elear. Dip crochet directly in cooled solution.
Regular starch Solutions are not recommended for any of the projects in this book.
