pcrspcctive is Iost as the bortom edge is a mirror image of rhe lop. If it is done logically it is difficult to carve and reads badly. Perhaps the mirror image was used so that the panel could easily be reverscd. If you carve a scroll or ribbon the top and bottom cdges are so cłose together that perspective has to be maintained (Fig 7.8).
Once the profile has bcen cut cleanly from cnd to end the pattern should be drawn on the cnds (Fig 7.9). Another mistake sometimes perpetrated is accidentally to omit one of the lincs marking the side edges of a lowcr fold of materiał (Fig 7.10).
