Subject: Thread Sealant for Hydraulic Fittings
Hydraulic fluid can become contaminated, clog the small valve openings and damage the O-ring seals.
This occurs if materials such as Teflon tape or excessive amounts of sealant compound get into the
hydraulic system.
Be sure to use adequate but not excessive amounts of LocTite®545 Pneumatic/Hydraulic sealant, or
equivalent, on all hydraulic connections.
