This report was commissioncd to providc an in-dcpth evaluation of the Muli Information System, developed by the Karnataka Forest Department (KFD), India. We identify and propose issues. opportunitics and challenge* uithin the currcnt system, innovatc a carcfully planncd solution, and create a low-fidelity prototype via our specialiscd mcthodologies and analytical tools.
In Problem Analysis we lhoroughiy researched the Karnataka comexi in tenns oforganisational politics, technology. and geography. Through our secondary research we produced user personas and empathised in an intervicw role-play to identify problcms sueh as: the cost and complc.Mtics of niaintaining and managing a local dałabase. the current frequency to which data is being uploadcd, and the łąck of ability to cxchangc Information quickly and cfficicntly across all departments. Thus. we were able to detennine the ovcrall tochnicał. organisational and economic issues that arose with problcms such as the integrated exchangc of information, security measures within the current system and data storage and backup.
In Solution Identification we utilised UML business process model ling tools Use Case and activity diagrams. and user story mapping and user personas, to extract ideas and create threc digitally cnabled Solutions; the implcmcntation of a cloud databasc (ovcr localiscd), tightening security measures to reduce s ulncrabilities. and integrating information exchange across all departments.
Our report concludes with the low-fidelity prototype based on the Solutions and effeclive user interface (Ul) and experience design; using minimalistic design. effective colour. and core focus on the minimal viable produet. We prinluced two prototypes; a mobile Huli reereation with streamlincd user fiow and improvcd Ul design, and a laptop application dashboard for ForestCloud - an integrated interdepartmental information exehange.

Each member of the group bas specific roles, and thcrc arc set goals by Sprint planning. Aficr each day’s sprint, a group meeting will be held to describe the progress of each da\'s work and show what theyVe
