Beat the Teacher
A third-year pupil from a high school in the Silesian town of Myslowice funded a brutal attack on his teacher this week in a failed attempt to steal a class test.
Two muscled skinheads hired by teenager Rafal K. threw a blanket over 30-year-old Slawomir Cebula before kicking and beating him with a baseball bat. The teacher protected his head, however, and managed to get up and throw some punches, forcing the attackers to retreat. Police quickly detained the pair, who were both former pupils of the school. They admitted they had been paid PLN 50 by Rafal K. for the attack. They also said Rafal K. had told them Cebula would have a laptop and mobile phone with him.
"We can't believe Rafal came up with this idea on his own," school deputy director Magdalena Filak told the daily Gazeta Wyborcza. "He is a very poor student, but it does not seem to me he could have organised this whole attack. We suspect there is a bigger group behind this."
