Logic statement

A statement is any sentence in logie sense tluit has a truth

value, that is any sentence tluit is either tnie or false. The true - value is denoted by ”1”.

The false - value is denoted by ”0”.

Usually sentence are denoted by smali letters, like p, q, r, s etc.

Types of statements:

simple statement - for example:

"Today is Monday." (tmth-value = 0);

1+4 = 5 (truth-value = 1);

2 + 3 = 7 (truth-value = 0).

compound statement - madę up of one or morę simple statements, that are linked together by connectives.
