The subject involves the widely understood technical polyphonic issues (polyphonic forms, canon and fugue) in the theoretical, analytical and practical aspect, that is the ability of creating a polyphonic con-struction (2-4 voices).

Getting the students acquainted with basie issues concerning the Gregorian chant and church musie. The lectures are illustrated with recording examples, and are based on presenting essential problems of chorał theory and practice as well as music/liturgical principles of the Church, and exercises: joint singing, pre-paring accompaniment for the chant based on the hexachord harmony.
