•    The WHO declared the COVID-19 outbreak to be a pandemie on 12^,h March 2020

•    In the two months sińce then, many of the early expectations about the pandemic's duration and impact, and the optimal response, have been superseded as the world’s understanding of COVID-19 has grown

•    There are now many things we do know about the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the diseases it causes, and the effectiveness of public policy measures, but many unanswered questions remain

•    In this edition of the European Disease Progression Monitor, we summarise what we know and what we ‘know we don’t know’, about the pandemie, through the three inter-related lenses of virus epidemiology, medical interventions and public policies
