I talked about with my Client. Eventually we both agreed on the handwritten font and decided to give it a try with adding a barb wire to the logo in order to get the movie reference.
I tried a few things, from a very symbolic “wire’ to a fiat version and a metallic one. After morę feedback from teachers and another Skype conversation with the Client, we settled for a symbolic version and a black font. And as for a feminine feel I suggested adding a pink, warm colour to the brand’s colour palette and a use of it in other sta-tionary items.
The style of the logo, as well as other products was mostly meant to be fun, playful with a warm, positlve feel. It is quite balanced and puts equal amount of focus on text as much as graphic elements.
For the logo, a hand written font Ink free worked well with the relaxed figurę of the bird, resting on the edge of the logo’s frame. For other products however I decided to choose something morę classic sińce the aim was to include the premium and Professional feel in the brand. Sans serif fonts Acumin Pro and Adrianna seemed to compliment the look nicely and felt appropriate in this pro-ject. In the coasters however, I decided to introduce one morę font to my hosteTs brand - (ust Scrłpt. I thought that sińce they are going to be placed in the pool bar and are meant to encourage people to interact with each other, they should be extra playful.
To find a good colour palette for the brand I first uploaded a few pictures of the sea and palms by the beach to adobe
