took morę simple approach here. I tried to find inspiratlon by looking at other companies logos with characters In them, to establish what can and what wont work. I sup-ported my kncwledge by checking books listed In sources and referances.
One of the main inspiratlon for me was also my back-packing exper!ence and some of the hostels I have vis-Ited. My favourite Chain of all is Mad Monkey Backpackers In Australia and some of the finał looks of my products for the Cuckoo’s Nest got some inluence from them.
2.3 Analysis
One of the main issues that needed soMng was to come up with the way of combining all the values and different feels that my Client wanted to conv€y in his brand.
The brand was meant to be:
- social and fun
- homely
- female friendly
- morę premium than average hostels
- a bit mad with a reference to a mental institution
I first established an order with my Client over a Skype conversation within those values, from the most impor-tant to the least. He agreeded that it would be rather hard to express all of them equally.
