English Division Student Government is committed to encouraging the English Division students in becoming involved in the community.
There are various volunteer opportunities being coordi-nated. and we are hopeful you will join our vibrant com-munity of volunteers.
Make a significant difference in the lives of children with special needs, simply DONATĘ YOUR BOTTLE CAPS!
In an effort to help the children of the Special Educa-tion Center of Stemplew, we are collecting plastic bottle caps across campus.
Have you seen the bins filled with bottle caps around?!
For every lkg of bottle caps collected, 1 zł is donated to the Center for the purchase of specialty wheelchairs or therapy eąuipment to be used by the children.
Collect your bottle caps and drop them off at any of the following locations:
• Anatomicum
. DC
• Dean Office
• Campus Library
• Dormitory
Do you know your ABCs and 1-2-3’s? Can you name the fruits you eat and vegetables you do not?
Join the newest EDSG volunteer opportunity!
Starting this Spring, the EDSG will seek MUW students to volunteer their time to teach the basics of English to children of a local Childrens Home. Each week there will be a 1.5 hour English lesson offered to the children by 3 vol-unteers designated for that Home.
The idea is simple, you volunteer your time and we design teams of 3 to attend a Home with which we have a working relationship. Volunteers will be provided with a curriculum outline and teaching materials i.e. notecards, workbooks, reading books and the teaching is up to their own creative way. Ali volunteers will receive volunteer training within the Home with special attention to the sensitive naturę of the project. To launch the project, the EDSG will collaborate with one local Childrens Home in the hopes of building re-lationships to eventually cater to the all of the local Homes.
EDSG is very excited about this unique project, and we hope you will join our efforts and make a difference in a child’s life with something as simple as your skill of speaking English.
