Another year on the Bord na nóg calendar is coming to an end and pride of place this year goes to the Tipperary Under 16 team that successfully retained the Tipperary Supporters Club Ali Ire-land tide. At club level after some excellent competition a total of eight county titles have been decid-ed to datę. The Under 16‘A’ is the only championship still to be com-pleted.

UNDER 12

As in previous years the three Under 12 finals were played in Semple Stadium. Holycross-Ballyc-ahill won the 'A' championship following a late winning point against Nenagh Eire Óg in a fantastic finał. There was very little between the teams throughout the gamę and when a draw looked on the cards up stepped Holycross centre back Kieran 0’Dwyer to hit a long rangę free between the posts for a dra-matic winning point. It was hard luck on Nenagh Eire Óg who also lost the football decider in some-what similar circumstances. Moy-carkey-Borris defeated the holders, Kildangan in the‘B’ finał. Moycarkey were never headed in the match and thanks to two first half goals they lead by five points at the inter-val. Despite a Kildangan comeback in the second half it was not enough for them to retain their tide. Shannon Rovers got the bet-ter of Upperchurch-Drombane in an eight goal thrilling *C’ finał. This was Shannon Rovers first ever tide in the grade.

UNDER 14

A hat-trick of goals from Liam McGrath insured victory for Loughmore-Castleiney in the 'A' finał against Toomevara. This was a great gamę of hurling between two well coached teams with Lough-more making amends for losing to the same opposition in last years County Under 12 decider. Mullina-hone and Templederry Kenyons served up a thrilling ‘B’ finał with the South champions coming out on top by a three point margin. Mullinahones Cathal Horan was top scorer with 2-4 in an exciting gamę fuli of good hurling. Sl Patricks thanks to a brilliant second half display defeated Emly to cap-ture the ‘C tide. The teams were level at the interval but Sl Patricks dominated the second half outscoring their opponents by 3-8 to 0-1 and they went on to record a convincing victory. Loughmore-Castleiney defeated Nenagh Eire Óg in a keenly contested Feile na nGael fmal.
