Young men and women can now get ihe training and experience in the eiectronic trades from whal is arguably the most sophisticated trade training

course in the country.

Along with the electronics trades, trade training apprenticeships are offered for motor mcchanics, clectrical filters, carpenters and joiners, clectrical mechanics, fitters and tumers, and plumbcrs and gasfitters.

Kemalc Apprenticeships are avail-able in the trades of motor mechanics and electronics.

And bccause Army Apprentices learn to be soldiers as \vell as qualified tradespeople, they leam the lessons of teamwork, sclf-discipline, oiganisational ability, leadership and the pnde of accomplishment.

Army Apprentices commcnce their studies at the Anny Apprentices School in Bonegilla, Victoria with facilities and a staff that few other organisations in Australia can match.

The Army Apprentices School allows young people to be paid while they study and train, with subsidised meals and accommodation, free books, tools and

uniforms and workelothes.

Inaddition, Army Apprentices receiw

generous holiday entitlements, free return travel home for term breaks and free medical, dental and optical care.

The reward is a skilled trade with ci\il qualifications, promotional oppor-tunity based on merit and the piide of serving Australia.

Applications close mid September NSW, Yictoria St Tasmania, late September other States. Applicants for Anny Apprentice* sbips must be between tne ages of 15 and 18'/$, and satisfy the nationality; educational, medical and aptitude rcquirements of the Army.

Applicants for eiectronic and elcctrical trades must be successfully studying or have studied English (or an equivalent subject), high level of .\laths and Science and at least one other

subject at Year 10 or II level.

Applicants for other trades must be successfully studying or have studied English (or equi\alent), Maths and at least two other subjects at Year 10 or 11 lcvel.
